i am not in love with you
but i’ve grown fond of 
the way your hair curls
around your ears and 
the slope of your cheeks
at downward tilted angles

there’s life in your smile
that make me want to
press long slow kisses
to your lips and the way
your tongue sticks out when
you think does not help

i wonder what it would be 
like to taste your lips
or feel your skin against mine
the muffled mumblings of
slow internet connections
